Rehearsals

Haslemere Hall on Mondays at 7.30 p.m. till about 10 p.m. for both choir and orchestra.
We have a tea/coffee break about half way through so that we can socialise.

Occasionally the choir rehearses in the Methodist church in Weyhill.
The orchestra sometimes rehearses in St Christopher's Church, Weyhill.

Subscriptions

£90 for 2011-12 season (Students half price).

payable at the first rehearsal of the season (first Monday in September).

Gift Aid: As a result of changes in HMRC guidance on membership subscriptions it has been necessary for HMS to examine our rehearsal procedures to see if they include an element of tuition. We have concluded that this is the case for the choir, but not for the orchestra, and we have, as a result, divided the annual charge to choir members of £90 into a subscription of £79 and a tuition charge of £11.
For those members who have made Gift Aid declarations this means that HMS will be claiming back tax on £79 and not the full £90, and members who themselves reclaim higher rate tax should do the same.

Webmaster: Seb Welford (I sing Bass in the choir)
