Chris Shepheard, from Tilford Rural Life Centre An exciting illustrated talk on the Surrey Defences survey - WW2 defences in this county and their history. Many strange concrete 'blocks' are visible in the landscape but few of us realised that some are indeed the remains of gun-emplacements, 'pill boxes' and other defensive structures left behind after peace was declared in 1945.
Nicholas Tyrrell-Evans Chiddingfold Stick Industry' (including an early film) and discussion with Bob Wheeler who still works with sticks. Also he spoke about the newly formed Chiddingfold Archive.
